FOOTBALL
DEVIN MUNK, Idaho Falls: Idaho Falls senior quarterback Devin Munk was the star of the 2009 Emotion Bowl. He completed 15 passes for 217 yards, rushed 77 yards and scored three touchdowns in the Tigers' 28-13 victory against Skyline. Friday's win brings the Tigers' record to 3-3.

LUKE AUSTIN, Skyview: Luke Austin of Skyview led his team to a 27-21 win against Emmett Friday night. The senior wide receiver scored two touchdowns for 12 points. As a defensive back, he had five tackles. The 4A Hawks are now 2-4 this season.

CHRISTIAN DENNY, Idaho Falls: Senior Idaho Falls lineman Christian Denny had 14 tackles in the Tigers' 28-13 win against Skyline at the Emotion Bowl. Denny (6'0, 225 lbs) has 86 tackles so far this season, including 16 in each of his prior two games. Idaho Falls is 3-3.

MATT LAMBERTON, Eagle: Eagle junior linebacker Matt Lamberton (6'2, 225 lbs) warded off Boise's offense in the Mustangs' 57-16 win on Thursday at Bronco Stadium. Lamberton had a total of 10 tackles and four assisted tackles in the game. This was Eagle's fifth win in a row, which brings their 2009 record to 5-1.

VOLLEYBALL
MAILIE GARNER, Bonneville: Senior outside hitter Mailie Garner of Bonneville contributed to her team's 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19) victory against Rigby last week. Garner had 11 kills, 10 digs and three aces for the Bees. Bonneville's record is now 21-3-0.

GIRLS SOCCER
AMANDA SODERLUND, Timberline (Boise): Timberline senior Amanda Soderlund scored three goals for the Wolves last week. She scored the first one in a 2-1 win against Meridian on Monday, then another on Wednesday in a 1-1 tie with Mountain View. In the District Three Tournament on Saturday, she scored a goal and had an assist in Timberline's 3-1 victory against Borah. The Wolves are now 9-2-4.

BOYS SOCCER
SASCHA WINKLER, Wendell: Senior Sascha Winkler of Wendell has scored 15 goals this season, including six in the last week. He scored the Trojans' only goal in last Tuesday's 1-3 loss to Bliss, then three in their 7-1 victory over Declo on Saturday, followed by two more goals in a 3-5 loss to Gooding. Wendell is 8-5-3.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
AMANDA WARD, Twin Falls: Twin Falls junior Amanda Ward placed second at the 2009 Bob Conley Invitational cross country meet on Saturday at Highland Golf Course in Pocatello. Ward ran 19:18.66 for the five-kilometer race. Her season best time is 19:05.47 set at the Bob Firman meet on September 26. Twin Falls placed second as a team at Bob Conley.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
DALLIN FARNSWORTH, Highland (Pocatello): Highland senior Dallin Farnsworth won the boys varsity individual title at the 2009 Bob Conley Invitational. He ran a time of 16:25.66. Farnsworth set a personal best this season (15:42.70) at the Bob Firman meet and will be a top contender at the state meet on October 31.
