These are some of the most highly anticipated games of the week in Illinois:
Marian Central (3-2) at Montini (3-2)
A huge game in the Suburban Christian Conference Blue division, as both teams vy for the wins they need for playoff contention while staying close to division leader Marmion Acadmey.
Mooseheart (4-1) at Alden-Hebron (5-0)
Alden-Hebron and Rockford Christian are tied atop the Northeastern Athletic Conference standings but this one could test A-H. Alden-Hebron and Rockford Christian play each other next week.
Glenbard South (3-2) vs. Kaneland (4-1)
Kaneland is unbeaten in Western Sun Conference play, but so is Geneva. Glenbard South needs a victory to get back into the conference race.
Lockport (4-1) vs. Lincoln-Way Central (4-1).
Lockport and LW Central are both among the four teams tied for second in the Southwest SuburBan Blue division behind unbeaten Lincoln-Way East. This game will separate the bunch.
St. Rita (5-0) vs. Mount Carmel (4-1).
One of the best rivalry games in Chicagoland and a key contest in the Chicago Catholic Blue Division.
Joliet Catholic (4-1) vs. Marist (4-1).
Joliet Catholic is unbeaten in East Suburban Catholic play, along with Marian.
Rock Island (4-1) vs. Rock Island Alleman (4-1)
Both teams 2-0 in Western Big Six conference play with unbeaten Quincy (5-0).
Minooka (4-1) vs. Plainfield North (3-2)
Minooka looking to make playoffs for first time since 2003.
